It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, Susanne M. (Pepin) Ladouceur of Easthampton on November 8, 2018 at Linda Manor Rehabilitation after a valiant fight with a brain infection. Susanne was born in Northampton on September 13, 1950 to the late Gedeon and Theresa (Ledoux) Pepin. She was a graduate of Easthampton High School. Susanne wore many hats throughout her life, as a nursing assistant at the former Northampton State Hospital, a child care provider, school bus driver for many years and lastly as assistant manager for Friendly's Restaurant in Florence for twenty years. Susanne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was most proud of the accomplishments of her two sons. She spent her leisure time helping anyone in need. She was best known for her fruit cakes at Christmas which she baked close to 100 breads annually to hand out to family and friends. Susanne is survived by her two sons, Timothy Ladouceur of Florence and Kevin (Jackie) Ladouceur of North Granby, CT and her three sisters, Barbara (James) Jedlicka of Easthampton, Elaine Zach of Easthampton and Donna Dalessio (Andrew) of East Hartford, CT along with her four brothers, Kenneth (Jane) Pepin of Easthampton, Ronald (Barbara) Pepin of Southampton, Steven Pepin of Holyoke and John (Wendy) Pepin of Easthampton as well as her three grandson's Thomas, Matthew and Benjamin of North Granby, CT as well as nieces, Melissa (Jedlicka) Gamache (Kevin) and family of Northfield, Kristen (Zach) Hallett (Chad) and family of Easthampton, Katie Steplar of Northboro and Kelley Pepin of Easthampton. Her nephews, Jonathan (Jill) Jedlicka and family of Westfield and Jeffrey Zach of Northampton, Andrew Steplar (Maura) of Holyoke and her dear friend Debra Byrnes of Westfield. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 14th at 9:00 a.m. from the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant Street, Easthampton followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of The Valley Church, 33 Adams Street, Easthampton, MA. Burial will be in St. Brigids Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, November 13th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The family of Susanne would like to thank the wonderful and dedicated staff at Linda Manor for their kind and compassionate care they provided Susanne over the past months. We also would like to thank the staff of the Hospice of Fisher Home in Amherst for the great care and emotional support they provided Susanne and her family.
