DANVERS ? Rita J. Gamache, 74, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 in Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Raymond Gamache with whom she shared 41 years of marriage.
Born in Haverhill on July 24, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Alma D'Entremont. Rita was raised and educated in Danvers and graduated Holten High School in 1955. She was employed with a local nursing home as an aide and also in the Danvers High School Cafeteria for several years. Rita was a member of the Polish, Russian, Lithuanian American Citizens Club of Danvers. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Kardettes Bowling League for over 20 years.
She is survived by her son, William J.Gamache of Manchester, N.H.; a granddaughter, Jaime Gamache; a grandson, Michael Gamache, three great-grandchildren, Cory, Patrick and Jaelynn, siblings, Jean Comeau, Fla., Paul D'Entremont of Florida, and Donald D'Entremont, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Lillian James.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
