WEST YARMOUTH ? Marian D. Gamache, 86, of West Yarmouth and formerly of Springfield and Northampton, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL. Born in Northampton, May 24, 1924, Marian was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Elizabeth (Lovett) Willard.
She attended Northampton schools and graduated from the former St. Michael's High School. Marian was retired from the Monson Redevelopmental Center and had also dabbled in real estate. She had been a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church in Northampton. She was the widow of Raymond S. Gamache, who died in 1996. Marian was also predeceased by two brothers, Robert and George, and by a sister, Dot. She is survived by her two daughters, Jacqueline Gamache of West Yarmouth, and Christine and her husband James Doherty of Bradenton, Fl; her twin brother, Harold "Buddy" Willard of Northampton; two sisters, Kathleen Misterka of Amherst and Helen Missett of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for Marian will be held Monday, January 3, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Pease and Gay Funeral Home, 425 Prospect St., Northampton. The funeral will be from the funeral home Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. with a liturgy of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 354 Elm St., Northampton. Burial will be Tuesday in St. Mary's Cemetery.
