Funeral Services for Margaret M. Valley, 88, of Ogdensburg will be held on Wednesday April 16, 2008 at 2 P.M. at Notre Dame Church in Ogdensburg with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
Mrs. Valley passed away early April 11, 2008 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center in Ogdensburg following an illness.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fox-McLellan Funeral Home.
Margaret was born in Ogdensburg, NY on January 24, 1920 the daughter of Nelson and Helen (Sears) Mallette. She graded from St. Mary?s Academy, the class of 1938. on August 11, 1941 she married her late husband Leo Valley at Notre Dame Church, the Rev. Leo P. Legault officiated the ceremony. Leo passed away on September 15, 2005 in Tampa, Florida. She was a member of St. mary?s Cathedral in Ogdensburg for many years and also a member of St. Mary?s Church in Tampa, Florida. When she resided in Ogdensburg she was a member of the Home Bureau for several years. She enjoyed reading, and her many friends.
She is survived by thee sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Valley and his wife Debbie of Potsdam, NY, Timothy and his wife Diana of Ogdensburg, NY and Thomas and his wife Kathleen of Medina, NY; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eight great grand children, a niece: Mary Ann McNally-Caufield of Ogdensburg and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Mary Mallette Ramie and her brother Robert Mallette.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Ogdensburg Rescue Squad.
