Lillian N. Gamache, 93, of Hennessey Avenue died Thursday at her home.
Born here, a daughter of Dolor and Florendez Demers Livernois, she attended St. John's School and graduated in 1919. She worked as a bookkeeper at Tondreau's Market and later at Brunswick Box Shop before marrying Antonio Gamache on May 28, 1928. He died Sept. 4, 1974.
Mrs. Gamache was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Third Order of Mary.
A daughter, Ursula Burleson, died in 1984, and a son, Antonio C. Gamache, died in 1991.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Gisele) Collins of Palm Coast, Fla., and Muriel B. Gamache of Brunswick; a son, Peter M. Gamache of Brunswick; two sisters, Florence Bouchard of Brunswick and Germaine Chateauneuf of Chicopee, Mass; four brothers, Philip Livernois of Brunswick, Rochel and Joseph Livernois, both of Lisbon Falls, and Rosaire Livernois of Canyon Country, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Visiting hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Demers-Desmond Funeral Home, 34 Cushing St. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday in St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
