Deceased Name: Germaine M. Hale
ST. ALBANS - Mrs. Germaine Marie (Gamache) "Gerry" Hale, age 80, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 2, 2010, at her home. She was born in Swanton, May 31, 1929, daughter of the late Aldi and Rena (Quilliam) Gamache.
Following high school, she was a secretary at West Point where she met her husband of over 61 years, James Hale. They were married Jan. 2, 1949. Jim died Feb. 23, 2010. She was an assistant at Bev Hayford's Day Care and a member of the Home Dem Groups in St. Albans. She was formerly a den mother for the cub scouts and the boy scouts. She was a communicant of Holy Angels Church and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Society.
Gerry is survived by her two sons, Gary and his wife, Donna Hale, of Littleton, N.H., Steven Hale of St. Albans; two grandsons, Chad Hale and his wife, Cindy, of Fairfield, Greg Hale and his wife, Dawn, of St. Albans; four great-grandchildren: Leah and Keira Hale of Fairfield, Nathaniel and Nicholas Hale of St. Albans; two sisters, Rita Emmel of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Paulette Lamoreau of Manchester, N.H.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Roland Gamache.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 8, at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Friends may call at the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main St., from 6 to 9 Friday evening. Online condolences may be made by the funeral home Web site: www.bnlfh.com.
