Dewey Anderson, born November 11, 1924 in New Rockford, North Dakota passed away on January 6, 2014 in Everett, Washington. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Billie; and his sons, Donald (Ann) Anderson and Rich (Connie) Anderson; grandchildren, Ashley (Darren) Gamache, Katie (Tim) Bjella, Jill (Mike) Smith and Brent (Taryn) Anderson; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard, Maynard, LeRoy and Robert; and parents, Dewey and Clara Anderson. Dewey was a 1942 graduate of Monroe High School. He was a proud WWII veteran and served thirty-three years in the Naval Reserve, retiring in 1976 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was a dedicated employee of West Coast Telephone Company, GTE and Verizon. Upon retirement, he and Billie spent many years "Snowbirding" at Araby Acres in Yuma. He enjoyed trailer travel, gardening, water skiing, fishing and cars. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2521 Lombard Avenue, Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to the Disabled American Veterans or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
