DOLORES C. ELLIOTT PALM, CITY, FL Dolores Carmen Elliott, 77, of Palm City, FL, passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer on November 1, 2012. Dolores was born June 2, 1935, in Seekonk, MA. She moved to Brunswick, ME at the age of 13. She graduated from Brunswick High School in 1952. Dolores married her husband Harold, December 28, 1953. They served in the military for 20 years: she as his dedicated wife and he as the military man. Dolores served as an executive secretary in the United States Air Force. She also performed in this capacity at Pratt & Whitney for 14 years retiring in 1988. She was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister also participating in the Outreach Program for incapacitated parishioners. Dolores also was a member of the Building Committee for Holy Redeemer. She was a member of the Women's Guild and volunteered thousands of hours making goods to sell at their Annual Christmas Bazaars. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harold, three daughters, Barbara Barclay of Stuart, FL, Deborah Edwards of Port St. Lucie, FL and Michele Elliott of East Hartford, CT, and one son, Donald Elliott, of Palm City, FL. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Charlie Barclay of Spring Grove, VA; Stephanie Kidd of Yorktown, VA; John Edwards of Aurora, IL; Adam Edwards of Land-o-Lakes FL; and Conner Elliott of East Hartford, CT; five great grandsons, four sisters Terry Bouchard of Bowdoin, ME, Marcy Brenner of Brunswick, ME, Lorraine Tetreault of Andover, MA, Irene Payton of Osterville, MA, one brother, Raymond Gamache of Harpswell, ME, and her beloved cat Mineau. Dolores was preceded in death by her father, Octave Gamache, her mother, Marie Gamache, and one sister, Evelyn Klaus. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City, FL on Friday, November 9th, 2012 at 10:00 am. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society . Paid Obituary
