Deerfield Sailor Killed
DEERFIELD - An East Deerfield youth was killed in an auto accident in Virginia last night his parents were informed this morning.
David Gamache, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rene Gamache of River Rd. was on a rural road in Virginia Beach.
He was a Navy man, stationed at the Dam Neck, Va., guided missile base. No other details of the mishap were available late this morning. The sailor's father said the Navy informed him of the fatality. Gamache was a 1964 graduate of Frontier Regional School. He attended Old Deerfield Elementary School. He leaves two brothers and three sisters.

DEERFIELD - Funeral arrangements for David Lee Gamache, 19, of East Deerfield are incomplete at the McCarthy Funeral Home.
Gamache was killed Tuesday night in an auto accident near Creeds, Va. He was born January 8, 1947 in Greenfield, son of Rene and Nina (Brown) Gamache, and in 1964 graduated from Frontier Regional School. He attended Old Deerfield Elementary and attended Manpower Training Course. He was a navy man stationed at the Dam Neck, Va., guided missile site. Besides his parents he leaves two brothers, Gary A., 17, and Peter A., 4, of East Deerfield; three sisters, Paula J., 15, Patti R., 11, and Yvette M., 2 all of East Deerfield; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William D. Brown of East Deerfield, Mrs. Alice Gamache of Montague Center and Louis Gamache of Brattleboro, and several aunts and uncles.

Military Services for Accident Victim
DEERFIELD - Funeral services for David L. Gamache, 19, of River Road, East Deerfield, member of the U. S. Navy who was killed Tuesday in an automobile accident in Virginia were Saturday morning in First Congregational Church, Greenfield. Rev. Arthur W. Shaw, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Green River Cemetery.
