Constance Teresa Champagne, 93, of East Falmouth and formerly of Foxboro, MA died on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at the Falmouth Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late George J. Champagne for 68 years.
Born in North Attleboro on October 13, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Alfreda (Tetreault) Gamache and was a 1941 graduate of North Attleboro High School. A former resident of Foxboro and a longtime summer resident of Falmouth, she and her late husband George relocated permanently to Cape Cod in 1984. She was an active member of St. Mary?s Women?s Guild of Foxboro for many years and a parishioner of St. Anthony?s Church in East Falmouth. Constance was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by two sons, Kevin G. Champagne and his wife Michaela of Ponce Inlet, FL and Mark J. Champagne and his wife Charlene of Foxboro, MA; nine grandchildren: Meghan Champagne Tomasia of New Bedford MA, Amanda McCarthy of Plainville MA, Mark Champagne, Jr. of Austin TX, Patrick Champagne of Port Orange FL, Christopher Champagne of Wrentham MA, Caitlin Kryder of Oak Creek CO, Andrew Champagne of Newport RI, Daniel Champagne of New Bedford MA and Nicholas Champagne of Attleboro MA; and 8 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held from 4-7 PM on Monday, Feb. 20 at Chapman Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Hwy (Rt. 28A), WEST FALMOUTH. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at St. Anthony?s Church located at 167 East Falmouth Hwy. (Rt. 28), East Falmouth. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
