Services will be 10:30 AM Monday, April 26, 2004 at East Side Lutheran Church, with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin 10:00 AM Sunday, April 25, 2004 at George Boom Funeral Home with family present to greet friends from 1:00 PM 3:00 PM.
Clara M. Olson, daughter of Theodore and Amanda (Severson) Olson, was born July 3, 1917 in Summit, SD. She grew up there and graduated from Summit High School.
Clara was united in marriage with Edward Totoris on April 5, 1941. The couple moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1949. Edward died on July 1, 1967.
Clara was united in marriage with Woodrow Gamache on May 29, 1971 in Sioux Falls. She worked for John Morrell & Co. in the cafeteria for 26 years until she retired in 1979.
Clara was a member of East Side Lutheran Church, A.A.R.P., American Legion Auxiliary, AFCW Union Local #304a and Tops Club of Sioux Falls, #128. Clara enjoyed sewing, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Grateful for having shared her life are two stepsons, Gary Gamache and his wife, Shelly, Rapid City, SD, Greg Gamache and his wife Kristi, West Bend, WI; two stepdaughters, Sharon Gamache, Quincy, MA, Renee Gabel and her husband, David, Sioux Falls, SD; god daughter, Robin Jaques and her husband, Randy, Sioux Falls; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a special grandchild, Randy Joe Jaques II, Sioux Falls, SD; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Clara was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Totoris, Woodrow Gamache; one brother; and one sister.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family for lunch and fellowship at East Side Lutheran Church following the committal service.
