Bertrand J. Gamache, 82, of Manchester and Vero Beach, FL died January 2, 2008, after a long illness. Born in Manchester on September 9, 1925, he was the son of Appollinaire and Rose Anne Pettigrew. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester. During World War II he served in the US Navy. Mr. Gamache worked as a master plumber and as a real estate developer for many years. He was a member of the Master Plumbers Association. He was also a member of the Jolliet Club and the Richelieu Club. The family includes his wife of 55 years, Constance R. (Ouellette) Gamache of Manchester and Vero Beach, FL; four children, Jacqueline M. Brodeur, Celeste C. Wermers, Bernard M. Gamache and Gerard B. Gamache all of Manchester; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Simone Gregoire and Ghislaine Compagna both of Manchester; a brother, Philippe Gamache of Nashua and cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were private. Memorial donations may be made Easter Seals, 555 Auburn St., Manchester, NH 03103.
