FITCHBURG - Bernice V. (Leveille) Gamache, 76, of 35 Day St. died Saturday in Leominster Hospital after an illness.
She leaves two sons, Wilfred J. Gamache of Holden and Norman S. Gamache of Leominster; two daughters, Jacqueline Gamache and Yvette Pandiscio, both of Fitchburg; two brothers, Joseph T. Leville and Edward Leville, both of Fitchburg; a sister, Ann Peters of Florida; 10 grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She was born in Fitchburg, daughter of Joseph D. and Mary (Dupree) Leville, and lived in Montreal, Nashua, N.H., and Worcester before returning here in 1942.
Mrs. Gamache worked at the former Brown Bag Filling Co., Fitchburg, the former Fitchburg Paper Co., and most recently as a molder at the former Foster Grant Co., Leominster, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Bernard's Church.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Bernard's Church, 240 Water St. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sterling Animal Shelter, 17 Laurelwood Road, Sterling, 01564. Lavery-Chartrand Funeral Home, 99 Summer St., is directing arrangements.
