Gaston Felix LeClair, 81, of Winslow died unexpectedly Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, at his residence.
He was born in Bingham, May 6, 1930, the son of Felix N. and Juliette N. (Gamache) LeClair.
Mr. LeClair was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a mechanic for Scott Paper Co. and also worked at Sullivan and Merritt as a millwright. He was a life member of Bourque Lanigan American Legion Post 5 and the Forest J. Pare Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1285 in Waterville. He enjoyed playing pool, cards, golfing and being on a bowling league.
He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Lisa Marie LeClair; a brother, Donald LeClair; and a sister, Patricia Hapworth.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard LeClair of Hinckley and Roger LeClair and wife Barbara of Fairfield; four sisters, Cecile Delile and husband Richard of Benton, Priscilla Beaulieu of Waterville, Beverly Faloon and husband Robert of Winslow, and Joanne Crosby and husband Howard of North Vassalboro; and three grandchildren, Amy, Joshua, and Tyler LeClair all of Waterville.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. next Friday, Jan. 27, at Notre Dame Church, 112 Silver St., Waterville. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Augusta at a later time. Arrangements are with Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.
