Died:
- Leo J. (Joseph) Rheault, born October 18, 1917 in Leominster, MA went to his new home with Jesus on March 24, 2011, after a short illness, and long fulfilling life. He is already missed by all who loved him and those are many.
His beloved wife of 68 years married February 20, 1943, Constance A. (Gamache) Rheault. His loving sons, Leo (Bud) and wife, Brenda, Richard and wife, Charlotte, and William and wife, Debra, and daughters, Annette and husband, Andrew, and Michele and her husband, Dennis; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, numerous nieces and nephew, their wives and children and children's children will miss him too.
Leo is now visiting in heaven with those who went before him. His mother and father, Valentine and Napoleon, his brothers and sister, Eugene, Paul, Cecile, Aime, Norman and Rene. Many other relatives and close friends are also heralding his arrival and will enjoy his company.
Leo attended St. Cecilia's Elementary School, and was involved in many parish activities through out the years. He attended St. Bernard's Central Catholic High School and his children who followed had big shoes to fill. An avid baseball player with the St. Jean's Society Ball Club, his love for any sport carried through to the very end.
He volunteered for active duty in World War II in September 1940, married the love of his life, Connie in 1943, as a 2nd Lieutenant, served in India & Calcutta earning the Asiatic Pacific Medal, the American Service Medal and the WWII Victory Medal, returning home in 1946.
Raising his family was his greatest priority as he worked first for Margolin Company of Fitchburg, getting a degree in Industrial Engineering in the process. The opening of Rheault's Hardware followed and was a family business in Leominster until their retirement in mid-eighties to Fort Pierce, Florida where they enjoyed a vibrant active life. They returned to Leominster in 2009 to be with family. From all mentioned above and to all others,

RHEAULT -- The funeral will be held Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Nazareth Church, 750 Union St., Leominster; Burial with Military Honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery Worcester, there are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brain Injury Association for children, 275 Nichols Road, Fitchburg, MA 01420. Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., Leominster is directing arrangements.
