ACHIN, NORMAN A. SR., 89, of Mulhearn Dr., Coventry, and formerly of Pawtucket, died Monday at home after an illness. He was the husband of Catherine (Pelletier) Achin. He was born in So. Attleboro, a son of the late Alfred and Laura (Gamache) Achin. He had lived in Pawtucket for many years before moving to Florida where he resided for 15 years. He moved to Coventry 7 years ago. He had been employed at Herff Jones Mfg. Co. of Providence for 32 years before retiring in 1983. Besides his wife he leaves 2 daughters, Laural Rondeau of Cranston and Sandra Berg of Cumberland, and a son Norman A. Achin, Jr. of Minnesota. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, Susan Wood, Jennifer Wheeler, Melissa DiFilippo, Norman M., Scott and Heidi Achin, Christian Berg, Brett and Janelle Rondeau. He also leaves 13 great-grandchildren. His funeral will be held Friday at 9 AM from the WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa's Church, Baltic St., So. Attleboro at 10 A M. VISITATION Thursday 5-8 P M. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to VNA of Care N. E., 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886. Burial will follow in Mt.
