Mrs. Isabell Haney, 77, a life-long resident of Effingham, died today, March 26th at St. Anthony Memorial hospital in Effingham where she had been a patient for only two days.
She was born February 7, 1880 in Effingham to John Richard and Nancy Manuel Shadwell.
She had been ill for the past four years, and resided at the Marks Nursing Home in Effingham. Her husband Sam E. Haney preceded her in death about 2 years ago.
Surviving are a son John of Effingham; daughters, Mrs. Nellie Mascher, Kankakee, Mrs. Lela Cohea, Decatur, Mrs. Mayme Keplar and Mrs. Ruth Devore of Effingham; brothers, Louis Shadwell of Effingham, Cleveland Shadwell of Shumway; sister, Mrs. Mattie Van Horn of West Frankfort; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bryant officiating. Friends may call after 7 a.m. today at Bauer Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery.
