Deceased Name: John Bordeau
ADAMS -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for John Bordeau, 88, of 57 South St. Cheshire, formerly of Adams, was celebrated Monday, Dec. 15, 10 a.m., in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church with the Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, pastor of the Parishes of Notre Dame & St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Stanislaus Kostka, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. Mr. Robert Moulton, permanent deacon of the parishes.
Lectors were Amy Bordeau and Shelley Gamache, granddaughters.
Mr. Moulton read the Gospel passage and was the homilist.
Offertory gifts were presented by Joseph Bordeau, John Bordeau and Paula Gamache, Mr. Bordeau's children. Joseph Huttle and Russell Morey were the acolytes.
Doris St. Hilaire, organist, accompanied the Community Choir of the Parishes.
Burial followed in Bellevue Cemetery, where George Coope, past commander of Adams Post 160 American Legion, folded the flag and presented it to Mr. Bordeau's son, John.
Pallbearers were John A. Bordeau, Brian E. Bordeau, Joseph M. Bordeau and Donald J. Gamache, grandsons; Bernard Martin, grandson-in-law; and Arthur Thiel, nephew.
Mr. Bordeau died Dec. 12. The Auge-Paciorek-Simmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
