Obituary: Mrs.August Greve, wife of Justice dies early today from Manistee News Advocate, Oct 1, 1926
Mrs. Marie Greve, wife of Justice August Greve, died at 4 o'clock this morning at her home, 276 First ave. She was 61 years old.
Mrs. Greve came to America in 1861 at the age of 16 from Rendsburg, Germany, settling in Iowa with her parents. Later her family moved to Two Rivers, Wis, and then to Manistee in 1885. She was married to August Greve on Jan. 1, 1888. From that time to the time of her death she lived in the First avenue home, made beautiful by the flowers which she and the justice found delight in caring for. Besides her household duties, however, Mrs. Greve was very active the the social life of German people of this city; she was a member of the German Ladies Aid society, of the German Orderof D.O.H. and of the Macabees.
Surviving Mrs. Greve are her husband, one dauaghter, Miss Anna Greve of Bronxville, N.Y. four sons, William Terborg of Milwaukee, son by a previous marriage, Edward and August Greve Jr. of Manistee and Christ Greve of Pontiac, three sisters, Mrs. Carl Clasen and Mrs. Cecelia Greve of Manistee and Mrs. Ed Liedtke of Milwaukee, and one brother, Henry Terborg of Milwaukee. Funeral services will be announced later.
