- [S5] Obituary.
WOONSOCKET - Paul R. Gamache 66, of Carey Ct. died June 24, 2018 at Roger Williams Medical Center with his family by his side. Paul was the loving husband of Sandra (Cooper) Gamache. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Edgar and Marie (Lambert) Gamache. Paul was a foreman in the Maintenance Dept. for the Woonsocket Housing Authority where he had worked for over thirty years. Paul was a dedicated and passionate member of Club Lafayette of which his father was a founding member. He served as President and was a member of the quoit league.
Paul loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners.
Besides his wife he leaves his two daughters Christine Gamache and her companion Stephen Canestrari, and Michelle Gamache and her companion Kyle Arpin all of Woonsocket, a brother Ronald Gamache of Woonsocket, and his beloved dog Rupert.
Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew him, each in their own way; that sparkle in his eye, his "Paul-isms" and all who knew him as "Papa G". He was a man of few words but said a lot.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 4-7 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to Club Lafayette Inc. 289 Aylsworth Ave. Woonsocket, RI 02895, in his memory would be appreciated. Please visit www.fournierandfournier.com for guestbook and directions.
