Patricia Kingstad, a longtime Williston area resident died at a Glendive, Montana Nursing Home on Friday, December 2, 2011. Patricia "Patsy" Kingstad was born March 17, 1929 to Albert and Esther (Jorgenson) Gamache. She attended Riverview Country School which was located on what is now the scenic highway. She graduated from Wheelock High School.
On June 18, 1946 Patsy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Severt Kingstad. They lived and farmed near Zahl. Later they moved to Williston where Severt worked for Russ Nelson Appliances and Patsy worked for Conlin Furniture making drapes for many years.
After retirement, Patsy continued to make drapes from home and when they were out at Blacktail Dam. Patsy and Severt looked after her mother, Esther for eight years. Patsy and Severt lived at Blacktail Dam until recently.
She will be greatly missed by many of her friends and neighbors.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Severt of Williston, ND; sister, Agnes Helling of Spokane, WA; sons, David (Arlene) Kingstad of Glendive, MT and Larry (Denise) Kingstad of Henderson, NV; nine grandchildren, Brenda (Scott), Linda, Donnie, Rodney, Gina (Robert), Deanne (Troy), Roxanne (Ron), Annie, and Clint (Dawn); 11 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Burial will take place in Bethel Cemetery
