Deceased Name: Leo R. Gamache, 59
OSAWATOMIE, Kan. -- Leo R. Gamache, 59, of Osawatomie, formerly of Worcester, Mass., died Wednesday, May 30, at the home of his daughter near Osawatomie.
He leaves his wife, Frances A. (Stevenson) Gamache; his son, Leo R. Gamache of Osawatomie; five daughters, Mary Ritch of Wagstaff, Kan., Lisa White of North Oxford, Mass., Jennifer Kalvinek of Webster, Mass., Renee Lofing and Sharon Hansen, both of Osawatomie; two brothers, Ronald Gamache of Sturbridge, Mass., and Rene Gamache of Los Oso, Calif.; 21 grandchildren. Three brothers, a sister and a daughter, Paige Gamache, predeceased him. Born in Worcester, son of Leopold and Anita Rivard Gamache, he also had lived in Monrovia, Calif., where he attended high school. He served in the Navy.
Mr. Gamache, a machinist, had worked in Harrington-Richards, Charlton; McDonnell-Douglas, California; and Taylor-Forge, Paola. He was a member of the Boilermakers Union. He was also a carpenter.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Osawatomie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Children's Mercy Hospital or the Veterans Hospital at Leavenworth, Kan., c/o the Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home, PO Box 430 Osawatomie, KS 66064.
