Deceased Name: ARTHUR J. GAMACHE
Arthur J. Gamache, 65, Fargo, formerly of Grand Forks, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Fargo.
Arthur J. Gamache was born Oct. 17, 1933, the son of Arthur and Marie Gamache, in Langdon. He attended schools in Langdon, N.D., and Olga, N.D. He served in the U.S. Army. He attended Aaker's Business College, Grand Forks. He worked for Simonson's Lumber, Grand Forks, and was part owner of Three Star Electric, Grand Forks. He married Carol Schroeder in September 1957 in Grand Forks. He moved in 1978 to Fargo, where he worked for Archie's and the VA Hospital, and was a self-employed electrician. He retired in 1991. He married Roberta Higginbotham in June 1992 in Fargo.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Kevin and Kurt, both of Grand Forks; a daughter, Kristy Porter, Grand Forks; stepchildren, Stuart (Donna) Higginbotham, Maddock, N.D., Barry (Jackie) Higginbotham, Fargo, and Pam (Chad) Lentz, Barnesville, Minn.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers; and six sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Hope Lutheran Church, North Campus, Fargo.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home, Fargo, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: 2:30 p.m. Friday, Hillside Cemetery, Valley City, N.D.
