Carol J. Macksey 1937-2012 ADAMS Mrs. Carol Jean (Gamache) Macksey, 74, of 2 Orcutt St. Adams, died Wednesday afternoon, April 4, 2012, at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Adams on November 27, 1937, a daughter of the late Edward and Edith (Kittler) Gamache, and attended Adams schools. Mrs. Macksey was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a communicant of the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great in Adams, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and spending time with her granddaughter. Her husband, Joseph F. Macksey, whom she married on September 5, 1964, died on June 12, 2005. She is survived by her son, Randy Macksey and his wife, Pamela, of North Adams; Her granddaughter, Ashley Macksey, of North Adams; A brother, Edward Gamache, Jr. of Palatka, Florida; A sister, Edith Parker, of Adams; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a son, Edward Macksey, and by a brother, Donald Gamache. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7th, at 10 a.m. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday (today) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
