Deceased Name: OBITUARY: Naomi B. Gamache
CONCORD ? Naomi Belle Wentworth Gamache, 94, of Concord, passed away at the Pleasant View Nursing Home on Dec. 10, 2012.
She was born in South Berwick, Maine, on Dec. 27, 1917, the daughter of Grace (Weightman) and John Wentworth. She was raised in Canterbury, graduating from Penacook High in 1935. Naomi lived in Penacook until she married Emmanuel Gamache on Jan. 17, 1976, and moved to Bow.
Naomi began working at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Concord in 1956, retiring as a supervisor in 1986. She was a member of the Penacook and Bow Mills United Methodist churches and was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Assemblies, Hannah Dustin Lodge. She also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Priscilla Chapter 51 and the Halloween Grange in Penacook.
Naomi was devoted to her family and church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, ballroom dancing, and traveling. She was an avid candlepin bowler, competing for many years in a league at Boutwells Bowling Center.
Family members include her husband, Emmanuel Gamache of Bow; a son, Russ Spangler of Deerfield and his wife, Claudia; two grandchildren, Matt Spangler of Penacook and Heather Spangler of Washington D.C.; and a stepdaughter, Michelle Campbell of Epsom.
Naomi was predeceased by her sister, Flora Duncan; and her brother, Harold Wentworth.

services: A memorial service will be held Dec. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Bow Mills United Methodist Church, 505 South St., Bow. The Rev. Virginia L. Fryer will be officiating. A private graveside service will be held in the spring at Evans West Cemetery in Bow. Phaneuf Funeral Home and Crematorium of Manchester assisted the family.
