- FRIDAY, 6 October 1972, Page 30, THE LOWELL SUN, Sr. St. Mechthilde- du-Saint Sacrement Sister St. - Mechthilde - du Saint - Sacrement (Blanche Gamache), a native of Fall River, died yesterday at the Mother House in Quebec. She entered the Sisters of Charity in 1918, and in 1928 was assigned to Lowell, where during a period of 41 years she devoted herself to the service of the young, either as teacher or directress of studies at the Franco-American School, formerly, the Orphanage. In 1966, she assumed the duties of directress of the Marguerite d'Youville Charity League, known as the Bread Fund.

Sister Ste-Mechthilde-du Saint-Sacrement (Blanche Gamache), a native of Fall River, died yesterday at the Mother House in Quebec. She entered the Sisters of Charity in 1918, and in 1928 was assigned to Lowell, where during a period of 41 years she devoted herself to the service of the young, either as teacher or directress of studies at the Franco-American School, formerly, the Orphanage.
