KERIAC - Innovative dance and performance teacher, succumbed in El Sobrante, CA, March 17. Teacher/founder/ director of DanceVision Institute, Keriac taught and performed for 40 years in Europe and the US. She trained with Martha Graham, Anna Halprin and Jose Limon dance companies, discovering a love of Contact Improvisation and New Dance. Born Frances Jean Lambert January 12, 1941, in San Antonio, TX, Keriac held a B.F.A. and a B.A. in art. 1986 she founded the "Dancing Together" program, teaching at DanceGround Keriac in S.F., in Germany and Austria. Keriac built a large loving dance family around the world. She is survived by daughter Nicolette Gamache (S.F.); sisters, Ilene Dillon (h. Dr. Bob Fink, El Sobrante), and Martie Russell (Plano, TX); brother, Richard Lambert (w. Mary, Long Beach); and mother, Margaret Lambert-Ravey (h. Bill, College Station, TX); nieces, Liz Schroeder (h. Warren, NC) Katie Russell (Plano, TX) and Robin Fink (El Sobrante); nephew, Jon Lambert (w. Anne, Sacramento); and step-nieces, Deb (h. Dave), Bekka and Rena Fink (S.F. Bay Area); and grand-nieces Stephanie and Natalie and grandnephew Andrew (NC). In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions payable to "Dancers' Group".
