Ann M. (Forcier) Burns, 74, of Raynham, passed away September 23, 2017 with her family by her side. Born in Middleboro, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Gamache) Cote and Sgt. Leo Forcier, who was lost at war when she was a young child. Ann was a retired clerical worker for the Brockton VA Hospital where she worked for 27 years until age 69 and enjoyed helping veterans. Prior to her employment with the VA hospital she worked with her former spouse as a secretary for their family auto dealerships, first Bedford Street Motors in Lakeville, Burns Motor Sales in Middleboro and then relocating to Raynham on what is now know as Raynham Auto Mile. She retired from the VA hospital due to illness but had intended to work there another year then to volunteer at local veterans organizations. Prior to her illness, she had especially enjoyed her home and family, friends, reading novels and her dog Sami. She was a graduate of Dominican Academy in Fall River and attended Burdette College. She previously attended Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro and St. Annes Church in Raynham and in later years would watch the Catholic Mass. She also had a devotion to the Blessed Mother always having a statue in her yard. She is survived by her five children Daniel Burns Jr., Deborah Barry, David Burns and his wife Muriel Mimi, Darlene True and Dawn Costa and her husband David; her former husband Daniel Burns, Sr.; a sister Susan Cote; 9 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 26, from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 280 Bedford St., Lakeville, MA. A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday Sept. 27, 2017 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church in Middleboro. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery in Middleboro.
