LAWRENCE WILLIAM GAMACHE 1923 - 2010 On January 6, 2010, Lawrence peacefully passed away at Concordia Hospital surrounded by his devoted family. Lawrence was predeceased by the love of his life, Lucille Gamache (nee Lavallée). He will be remembered by his daughter Judy and son-in-law Greg Connon; his grandchildren: Richelle (Tyler) Scott, Rob (Jon) Marriott; Curtis (Roberta) Connon. He will live on in his great-grandchildren: Tehya Ingram, Riel Scott, and Addison Connon. Lawrence proudly fought in the Second World War in Italy, France, Germany and also participated in the liberation of Holland. Lawrence was an athlete, a handyman, a mentor, a loving uncle, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will always be a part of Paddy Lake, a place where he fostered life-long friendships and touched the lives of many. Lawrence spent his final years in the company of his many friends at Concordia Village, a home that he loved. Lawrence was a man of endless patience and integrity. He met all of life's challenges with determination and grace. He was a man who saw the limitless potential of life and met everyday with a smile. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving support of Lucianna Pike, Rhona Pike, Robert McCaig and family; Janice Pike, Frank Cantafio and family; Nadine and Kevin Blashko and family; Bill Gamache and family, and Velma Komarniski. The family would also like to thank all of Lawrence's caregivers from Concordia Hospital, their help was greatly appreciated. A celebration of Lawrence's life will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
