Grace A. Gamache

GRANVILLE - Grace A. Gamache, 82, of Granville died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
She was born Jan. 5, 1924, in Northumberland, the daughter of Fred and Viola (Johnson) Bancroft.
Grace worked as a Nurses Aide at Glens Falls Hospital for 10 years and after she was a Private Nurse's Aide for 30 years.
She enjoyed country movies, Country Western music, and playing the piano and singing. She was a member of the Dick Ladd Square Dancers Association for many years.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Julian G. Gamache, her brother, Henry Bancroft, and her sister, Angela Richards.
Survivors include her children: Gary Brown of North Hebron and Dolores LaPrairie of Granville; her grandchildren: Wendy Holcomb of Granville; Kenneth Brown of Glens Falls; Deanna Lurvey of Manchester, Vermont; Tracy Gamache of Hudson Falls and Julian Gamache Jr. of Glens Falls and several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1p.m., Monday, May 1, at M. B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main St., Argyle, www.kilmers.com.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, May 1, at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Wagner, pastor of the Lutheran Good Shepard Church of Glens Falls, officiating.
Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle.
Pallbearers will be Julian Gamache Jr., Kenneth Brown, Jeff Holcomb, Kevin Lurvey, Stephen Holcomb, and Jeff Wendell.
Donations may be made in Grace's name to the Renal Dialysis Unit, Renal Center of Glens Falls Hospital, 3 Broad St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.
