Alfred William Gamache passed away on April 7, 2014 in Lomita, CA surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 4, 1926 in Nashua, New Hampshire to Leo and Ida Gamache. In 1944 Alfred enlisted in the US Navy and served in WWII. He re-enlisted in the Navy in 1951 for the Korean War and was discharged a Gunner's Mate. He was employed as a foreman for the H&H Mfg. Company, a plastic moulding machine manufacturer. Alfred is survived by his loving wife Natalie; his daughter Ellen (Alfred) Garcia; Natalie's children Laurie (Robert) Gormley & Mark Bosse; grandchildren Marne (Brian) Langlois, Marcel Garcia, Merrielle (Matthew) Frowiss & Greer Robison; great grandchildren Benjamin, Maxwell, Stella, Dean, Aedan and Aeva, sisters Florence Leveille and Theresa (Charles) Malone; sister-in-law Irene (James) Mailman; many nieces and nephews and longtime friend Jamie Robison. Alfred was preceded in death by his first wife Marcella Gamache. The family sends very special thanks to Torrance Memorial Hospice and Mae Morgan Home Care personnel. A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 7:00 pm at A.M. Gamby Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Wed., April 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alfred's memory to the Little Sisters of the Poor in San Pedro or to Torrance Memorial Hospice.
