- Ardmore Man Arrested for B&E North of Iron River

On November 27th, 2015 at approximately 1:00 PM, the Bonnyville RCMP Detachment received a call for service from a concerned member of the public reporting a break and enter to a rural quonset north of Iron River, AB. Police searched for the identified suspect several days later at an Ardmore, AB residence.
The suspect, Dean GAMACHE, was arrested without incident for several offences and transported to the Bonnyville RCMP where he was held until his $5000.00 bail was paid. GAMACHE currently faces charges of Break and Enter, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Mischief Under $5000.00, Failure to Comply with Conditions and Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle. After paying bail, GAMACHE was released on court compelling conditions awaiting trial.

Two charged as twelve vehicles valued at a quarter-million dollars found

A vehicle chop shop operating in rural Alberta has been dismantled, after finding several stolen vehicles on a property north of Bonnyville.
According to CTV News, the operation was thwarted by discovering a stolen Ford F350 service truck on the property. The vehicle was reported stolen from Innisfree, Alberta, and was found about a month ago.
The property in La Corey, Alberta was home to the operation where up to 12 stolen vehicles were found. Police estimate that $246,000 in stolen property has been recovered from the site.
Two men were arrested in connection with the operation, Kyle Donovan Fletcher, 33, of Vegreville, and Dean Peter Gamache, 31, of La Corey.
When approached by police a physical altercation occurred that required the use of a taser, but no physical force beyond that.
Fletcher is facing charges of Obstruction, Assault on Police, Attempt to disarm a Police Officer, Fail to comply with Release Order, Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and Mischief over $5,000.
Gamache is facing charges of trafficking in property obtained by crime over $5000, tampering with a vehicle identification number, twelve counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and mischief over $5000.
Both suspects are in police custody and will appear over CCTV in Bonnyville Court on April 6th.
