Lorraine King
TAMARACK CITY?Mrs. Lorraine King, 81, a former Tamarack City resident, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2001. At Houghton County Medical Care Facility where she had been a resident patient following a short illness.
The former Lorraine Baril was born May 4, 1919 in Lake Linden, a daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Pepin) Baril. She attended the former St. Anne?s academy in Lake Linden. and the Lake Linden-Hubbell High School.
Lorraine was employed by Our Lady of Mercy Convalescent Home in Hubbell for four years.
On July 13, 1940, she married Henry King at St. Joseph Church in Lake Linden. He preceded her in death on January 14, 1986.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Leo and Roland Baril.
Lorraine was a member of St. Cecelia Church ub Hubbell, the Altar Society, the Tamarack City Women?s Club and the Tamarack City Fireman?s Auxillary.
Surviving are one daughter, Shirley (Howard) Wareham of Tamarack City, three grandchildren, Glenn (Laurie) Wareham of Las Vegas, Nev., Lisa (Jim) Cuffe of Tamarack City, Greg Wareham of Tamarack City; three great grandchildren, Josh Grabig, Kayla Wareham and Alyssa Wareham; two sisters, Mrs. Jeannette Bessner of Lake Linden, Mrs. Dorothy Paquette of Lake Linden and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday at St. Cecelia Church in Hubbell with Rev. Eric Olson officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Lake Linden. Friends may call at the Pearce Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6-8 P.M.
